72 | Q1 2021 Sep20264 Award-Winning Cybersecurity Support Enterprise Established in 2014, WholeServ Limited specialise in supporting the IT requirements of modern businesses to allow them to concentrate on what they do best, running their business. Having recently found success in the Midlands Enterprise Awards 2020, we got in touch with Jamie Hirst to find out more. Working in partnership with its clients, WholeServ Limited aim to maximise efficiencies with their current resources and move forward with new technologies and innovations as their business growth demands. To start, Jamie provides a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into its clientele. “Although based in Coventry, WholeServ work with businesses across the West Midlands and the UK to deliver IT support, technology and cyber security solutions. By working in partnership with our clients we are able to maximise efficiency within our current resource capabilities, and with ongoing help and guidance for new technologies and innovations we enable their businesses to grow. Naturally, our scalable solutions suit everyone from business start-ups to large enterprises, providing a full range of benefits including access to a team of qualified specialists with up-to-the-minute expertise across all areas of IT. It’s almost like having your own internal IT department, except we take care of the ongoing worries of updates, training, and compliance.” In the space of six years the firm have made huge strides in the cyber security industry, and as Jamie goes on to explain, expanding its client base has only been possible thanks to word of mouth. “Overall, the feedback from our clients has been very positive with many praising the reliability of our staff. Moreover, we have found this feedback naturally turns in to further recommendations.” Many of the firm’s employees have previously completed apprenticeships prior to joining WholeServ, and as Jamie explains further, this period of training has resulted in enthusiastic and dedicated people joining the team. “The staff here at WholeServ are keen to provide above and beyond support to our clients. Having undertaken their training they are keen to expand their knowledge and skillset.” In past years, many small and medium sized businesses have downplayed the possibility of security threats because they believed that they were too small for hackers to target. However, in recent years these have become more self- aware and realised that being under-protected and under-funded has made them attractive targets for cybercriminals. Naturally then, as Jamie points out, the appearance of COVID-19 and national lockdowns has made the last year a challenging time for businesses. “With companies moving to a work from home model, unsecured home networks have suddenly become extremely vulnerable. In this regard, we offer our staff as much support as possible to minimise the impact of these security threats.” Brining the interview to a close, Jamie signs off by touching on the firm’s future prospects as we look ahead to 2021 and beyond. “Moving forward, we will be looking to remain at the cutting-edge of new developments to ensure our clients can sustain their growth. Beyond this, we do have some exciting changes in the pipeline but unfortunately we cannot disclose these at present.” Company: WholeServ Limited Contact: Jamie Hirst Website: www.wholeserv.com
